I'm not an HF employee. Dunno how you'd gather that.
Troll posts? Link?
make a deliberately offensive or provocative online post with the aim of upsetting someone or eliciting an angry response from them.
sorry for upsetting you dude.![]()
74, yeah it's def a blatant troll post.
But 69 and 71. You gotta be kidding me. Those are observations my man. Point me to a low-priced, American made 3/8 flex ratchet.

If they come out USA/Canada/Europe made quality tools, I'd be a loyal HFT customer.
Amen. That has always stuck in my craw. I understand there are no parts for anything priced under $400. Somebody please correct me if I am wrong. That means there is no draw slide for the popular 44" set or anything for the " Our jack or impact wrench is as good as SnapOn" jack or impact wrench. You get 90 days, lifetime exchange or paid for exchange coverage extension. NO PARTS. I do not want to drag a multi hundred lb. cabinet back for a drawer slide. One of the 2 stage, top of their line air compressors is not even a 2 stage. The one with 3 cylinders has 3 air cleaners and only goes to 150psi. Which cylinder is stage 2. LOL.It sure looks like they want to position themselves to pickup as much Craftsman business as possible.
Their "professional" line needs better repair support than their current "exchange under warranty" policy. I don't care how good a compound miter saw is, it is junk if you can't get a replacement part after a couple of years.
what ? where have you've been last 2 decadesBut it seem odd to me that a Company like HF with the facility's the logistics and web phone and email, the workforce, that they can't supply parts ( even if it was very selective) and or charged for shipping.

They are more than willing to sell a 3rd party service contract at point of sale, exact same modus operandi as HFT right. Todays consumer demands disposable goods. How they don't get sued for trademark infringement is beyond me.
A lot of posters here fail to realize a reality: HF doesn't give a damn if you shop in their stores or not. I've never been in the HF store at 32nd Street and Bell Road here in Phoenix where there HASN'T been a line at the check outs. They need your business as much as I need cancer. They own the low end and now their going uptown. ***** all you want in 5 years it's going to be HF, Lowes or the HD and that's it for tools locally. If you have a virtual monopoly people are going to come to you. As the Borg once stated: "You will be assimilated"

The HF tool chest is $399. The similar Snap On chest is $3900.
Buy the HF chest and if the drawer slide breaks, throw the whole thing in the scrap pile and buy another.
Will still be money way ahead. Replace it 9 more time to break even.
Where is this thread going?
There are always going to be people who don't like HFT and those who do. If you like HFT tools, buy them, if you don't like them, don't buy them.
Why must there be debate and insults about the same goddamned topic every other day?

Down the crapper?
Bottom line.
Those that like HF tools, want others to like them, as to justify their decision.
Those who don't like HF tools, want others to not like them, as to justify their decision.
But it is still HF correct? so what's the change stickers on toolsFrom the thread:

Yes, this is a thread on HF and it is still HF. You're correct. But it is still HF correct? so what's the change stickers on tools [emoji38]

...I don't care for some of the ways they run their business.
That's how I feel as well!!!I hope they don't drop, or raise the prices on, their General brand tool-chest/roller-cabnets.
They are 2nd only to Snap-On/Maco in quallity IMO, and you don't have to sell the family car to purchase them.

Not to mention the Husky equivalent is $249.99.Received a new sales ad today. There is a 46 inch tool chest with the name brand of Yukon Listed at $289 which is really cheap for a 46". Reading the description shows a maximum capacity of 1200 pounds...that isn't much weight at all for a 9 drawer 46" chest. That must be some seriously thin gauge steel.
Of the changes that are being kicked around, lower quality is not something I was looking for.
