Chas. E. Miller, 97-99-101-103 Reade St. & 121 Chambers St., New York, New York

* Not to be confused with:

Charles Miller of Syracuse, New York, makers of sockets and ratchets, which can discussed here and here.

The Chas. E. Miller Co. was primarily an importer and a distributor of both U.S. and foreign-made automotive parts, tools, and accessories, as well as a manufacturer of some items.

Most of the items in their 1916 catalog are accessories and car care chemicals, but they did offer some tools:

Very neat! I looked up the address, it appears they occupied much of one side of a city block in the Tribeca neighborhood in Manhattan, and I'm guessing these are the same buildings.

Curiously, one of the pages in the catalog shows what would have been (at that time) a Swiss-made "Grobet" point file being distributed by Montgomery & Co. at 105-107 Fulton St., New York, NY:

Montgomery was a wholesale hardware and tool distributor as well:

Grobet eventually became "Vallorbe":

As I had suspected, Mark wasn't too excited about this one... I will post some other images in the "automobile ephemera" thread.
It's a fun catalog, but unfortunately a bit short on "tool" to make muster at ITCL.

Neat! An early hydraulic shock! They did not take over immediately. Throughout the 30's friction dampers were common. My little post on that:

I absolutely love these old catalogues! I can't really describe it, but looking at them gives me a feeling that I simply don't get when I browse through modern ones. There is just something special about these illustrations and the nice write-ups to every product.

Thanks for sharing @four.cycle!

You might also like this reprint of the 1897 Sears catalog:

I really like the Montgomery & Co catalogs--no relation to Montgomery Wards--and I have 12 original catalogs and one reprint, ranging from 1892 to ca1927. They are filled with a tremendous variety of tools and equipment (like many catalogs of that era), and I'm always looking for more info about the company.

Please consider forwarding them to International Tool Catalog Library - site administrator @Mark Stansbury can scan them, get them uploaded to the site, and send them back to you.
In the meantime, here's a "Montgomery" thread you might like to post them to:
