I've wanted a mill for several years, but due to space and budgetary constraints, I have been a drooling albeit responsible amateur workshop enthusiast and held off on buying such a tool. This past year, due to the pandemic, and the fact that my tax return and birthday came in at about the same time, I did treat myself to a 3d printer to tinker with while stuck at home. I should have done so years ago, but I digress.

Now...

Professional Machinists and Old-school Fabricators, Purists, please look away. HACKADAY dropped this video from Youtuber Ryan A. Kelly on his DIY RIGCNC 3D printed milling machine. If anyone is aware of Ryan or knows that he is a member here, please tag him personally. This video, though it doesn't go into great detail on the step by step design/build/test process he went through, represents the epitome of talent matching ambition! I have to say, now I really want to build one, just to say I did! Is it perfect, no, but is it functional, certainly more so than having no mill!

I've subscribed and will be watching closely for updates.
