Go to http://local.sears.com which is their new site.

There are a lot more tool deals there (more than 1000 instead of 250 on the old site), and almost all of the great deals from two weeks ago are there.

Thanks for letting us know. Hope they develop a mobile version soon. It is not working well on my phone.

I got a 3/8 Craftsman butterfly impact wrench for $13.74, a handheld Mityvac vacuum pump for $15.14, and a 4 piece wobble extension set for $5.43. Also a bunch of single drill bits for pennies each. Great deals on the local ads lately.

Their website *****, that was hands-down the most painful shopping experience I've ever had. It wouldn't let me check out if I was signed in, just kept bringing me back to my cart in an infinite loop. Then it wouldn't let me buy more than 1 of each item. Then one of the items that was supposed to be in stock magically appeared as out of stock. Grrr...if the prices weren't so good on some of these items I would have given up hours before I finally had a successful purchase.

It wasn't working at all last night, works sort-of today though... not much in the way of good deals to be found in my stores local ad (the new site.. local.sears.com) . I don't consider $2 off the regular inflated price to be much of a savings!

When I logged onto Sears local ad today their beta site came up. I selected the ad that starts tomorrow and it brought up 999 tool specials. The website let me add items to my cart unlike before where would make me add them to a wish list. After I logged out and then came back the regular site pulled up. I had to logout and log back in about six more times before I got back into the beta site.

Look for prices that end in a "4", such as "$2.94". Those are the true local deals. Skip the ones that end in ".99".

Did you order online then go into the store to choose your wrenches? Or just go to the store?

Anyone else experiencing varying prices between whats listed and what the cart says?

Yep all the time. Sometimes the price goes way up once you try to proceed to checkout. I just keep playing with different items and amounts until I get prices I like.

It depends where you add the item from, prices at local.sears.com vs sears.com are different. Sometimes the local prices are cheaper or more expensive than the sears.com price...

yeah, a local store lists the price for the 3 piece curved prybar set at $13.94 but goes up to $27.99 when you add it to the cart.

The regular old version of the local ad has less items, but I can get the shown price in my cart.

As of this post, the new version is still marked as "BETA". So there must be bugs to work out.

I find the new website will claim its got say 1000 offers, and as I go through the pages, it'll change from say 1-150 to 151-280, suggesting its showing new items, but it often shows pages upon pages of the same items. Really kinda slow to get through everything. Not sure why they do that just to inflate the number of "deals" maybe?

Just picked up the gearwrench serp belt tool for $27.13 less $7 in surprise points :rocker: Says it will be ready for pickup in 24-26 business days, so we'll see if I actually get it. Can't pass it up at that price. Shows as $30 on the local ad site, 10% off til 9am tomorrow :bounce:

I just got a 1/4" speeder because of this. Sears.com listed at 14.99, through local deal it was 2.94 and it hit the cart at 0.94.

Screen shot the item and get a price adjustment in the store after you buy it or just buy in the store with a price match with said screen shot. That is how I handle price changes when added to cart.

What is the difference between the black professional and red regular?

The black professional is a oiled air compressor
which is quieter, last longer, better performance overall.

The Red is oil-less air compressor
which is loud as hell, is oil-free, less maintenance, but the performance will steadily decline and the cylinder sleeve will have to be replaced.

By the way that is a killer deal for a professional, never see them go for less than $450, just check the oil level before firing it up, bc they are always low.

I had a similar problem with an item winding up in my cart for more than it was listed, but I didn't catch it until after my order processed.

I might give Sears a little credit for this one, depending on how it turns out. I used the chat function online and the agent told me that he would put in a request to honor the price and I would be automatically refunded the difference to my card within 3-5 days of the item being picked up.

Here's the iffy part, I used the function at the end of the chat to request a transcript of the conversation to be e-mailed to me, but it showed up with all the numbers in the entire transcript showing only as *****, so the chat is actually useless to show what I should be charged, refunded etc. So lesson learned here, if you go this route use print screen to save your chat before you exit!!

Edit: Just got an e-mail from customer service saying they can't process the price change at this time because the item is scheduled for pickup and that I will have to make the request again after I've picked it up.

Exact thing happens to me. They will adjust it after you pick it up.

Chat them again after and tell them you picked it up.
