Those are Knipex Cobra pliers, relabeled for Craftsman.
Thanks, I heard good things about Knipex.

Check out this finger ratchet too. Never saw this in the store before today. I can't find the Craftsman version online but found this only. Is this item very new or very old?

It was only $14 and Made in USA! Just ran around my hotel room looking for something to screw. It works great.

My Sears local ad doesn't have much in the way of local tool deals in it.

They do have two full aisles of clearance stuff right now because of how they're rearranging things, though. Some of the stuff doesn't show up on the Sears site at any price. They somehow came up with a bunch of used power tools, too. I don't know where they would have come from unless unscrupulous people returned perfectly good tools after using them for a job...?

I managed to get a C3 cordless drill/driver with charger and a Li-Ion battery for $30. It had a few scratches on it and was missing the case and the crappy double-sided bit. $90 when new.

The packaging looks new, I doubt it's old... I've never seen that finger ratchet and I frequent a handful of Sears stores.

My local store staff confirmed it is a new item. I didn't take a chance when I was out of town and bought it even it was not on sale. A new item that is Made in USA! [emoji122]

In the end I removed a cover plate. Not very exciting but better then nothing. Usually I fix things in the hotel room. I have fixed showers, toilets, TV cable connections, electrical connections, network ports.... If I see something broken I have to fix it.

You fix public toilets on your own for free?

My local ad (on the new site) had the 10" Knipex Pliers Wrench pop up in it for $35.84. When added to my cart, it dropped down even further, to $31.81. That's the lowest price I've ever seen.

Better take a look to see whether your local store is getting rid of them in the tool department redesign, too.

23.94 at my local Deptford NJ store guess that's what I'll use the 20 bucks in free points for.

I'd check your local ad again. Right now it's letting the friends and family discount apply in addition to the local ad price. So basically an additional 10% off. Also check the coupons, I've gotten a points back to stack on top of everything. Just try all of them you have. YMMV

Is anyone getting a friends and family discount to work on either of the hot buy gearwrench sets? I thought it was 10% off all tools?

They have really limited what applies now. The discount is disabled on a lot of items. Coupons are typically disabled during the sale as well. One of the reasons I'm so surprised it works on the local ad deals. Those are typically the ones that end in a 4. And they vary from store to store.

(just in case anyone needs the website. It's local.sears.com and enter in the store in your area.)

hmm the details say its blocked from hot deals (online only). Meaning in store tomorrow you can get the discount.... how do they handle stacking coupons in store... right now I have the 20 pc gear wrench kit 49.99, the red handle gasket scrappers for 12.55 local deal with the 10% discount working, with surprise points Its $47.44 before tax and its letting me add a coupon for 10 back in points. lol I also have a few more coupons for tools. Maybe I should just buy the one kit now and pick up the other one in the store tomorrow.

That website is like a game to see what works, my local add is almost at 1900 tools to so its a pita to go threw.

I have never been able to use multiple coupons in store before. But I rarely shop in store because it can be a huge pain to price match online. And I usually can get coupons to work online. Try it and maybe it'll work for you.

For the local ad click the "Store Deals" tab and then "tools" that should filter out most of the regular stuff.

I find it is typically better/easier to buy online and pick up in store. (plus you can use fatwallet or shopdiscover (currently 10% back)

You can usually stack a $ off and Points back coupon online at least, in store I have never tried I suppose

GearWrench 2pc Cusion Grip Roto Ratchet set below for $37.24 at my local sears. Also picked up another set of the curved professional pry bars. They went up $3 to $25.54 but will make a good christmas present.

http://www.sears.com/gearwrench-2-p...p-00910172000P?prdNo=4&blockNo=4&blockType=G4

Ended up getting the gearwrench ratchets for free after yet another mistake by the order pickup team at my sears. Third time they have screwed up my orders this month.

The first time when i was picking up my items I noticed one was missing and was told they did not have it in stock and they canceled it.. I walked around to check out some tools and found it on the shelf. The manager even admitted the guys just didn't look hard enough. Ended up getting the item for free at least. ($20)

Second time they only gave me 1 of 2 boxes for a patio set I purchased. Wasn't too upset about this one because it was on me for not noticing. Just cost me an extra trip...

Today they tried telling me the gear wrench ratchets were out of stock during my pickup. I asked him if he was sure because last time this happened to me it was in stock. He assured me it was out of stock. Sure enough, i found the item on the shelf within a few minutes of searching. Again my 5 minute pickup turns into 20-30 minutes with a grumpy one year old. Manager tried to argue with me at first and make up excuses about them being seasonal employees and said "What do you want me to do I cant fire them".. Don't know where that came from because never even suggested that. I wasn't having any of it and he soon realized he was in over his head and gave me them for free.

Huge hassle when you are using shop your way coupons and points when they remove an item. Most of them only apply if you spend a certain amount. Plus my experience has been you never get the points back on the cancelled item.

I have no confidence in my local sears, luckily the managers conceded and made sure I was happy after their mistakes.

If they tell you one of your items is not in stock at pickup most likely it is a case of them being incompetent or lazy.

They are supposed to pull the order when you place it and then they will send an email to advise it is ready for pickup. Once again yesterday I went to Sears to get an order. They go to the show from and pull the items. Cannot find one tool. I said you confirmed the order was ready last Monday and not here Friday. No good explanation. When I get my "how did we do" email from the feedback department they will hear about it. Yes 45 minutes total time.

Just got this Leatherman Crater shipped free since they decided after I ordered that they were out of stock. After tax just $14

Also ordered Channellock 6.5" slip joint pliers and picked them up in store. Saw blue handles in the bag so thought everything was cool. Got home and found out I had CL 357 end cutters haha!

Ordered another pair of the 6.5" slip joint pliers and just got an email saying those are out of stock and would I like them to ship for free?? Yes please LOL! Not sure what I'm getting this time but excited about the prospects of them screwing up again.

Both together are costing me less than $15
