I picked up this abrasive chop saw today for $100.54.

My local ad dropped it to $110.54 and I applied a $10.00 coupon I got from buying some other local ad stuff.

Picked up some CL screwdrivers price matched to Amazon and a set of Craftsman tappet wrenches. Made in the U.S.A. Both for less than $50

Sears has the friends and family deal going on. The discounts or points back do apply to the local deal prices. Plus I got coupons to stack as well. So you might want to check your local ads to see if anything good is on there. local.sears.com

But remember the local ads are for LOCAL deals so each store can have different deals going on. The regular Sears website may have different pricing and any coupons/price match/anything else are a YMMV. But you can get some great deals. I don't think the points coupons will stack if you choose the extra % off. Only when you use the extra points back option.

For Example I got 3 of the 10" Craftsman Cobras (knipex) @ 17.94 each and one pick set @ 10.99
I used a ($5 off $50) a ($10 in points back on $50) and got the extra ($12) points back for the Friends and Family sale. So I spent about $62 with $22 coming back in points.

Found these, no lobster claw, Chinese made but look pretty decent and the price is right. In my area.... check yours.

Standard set- regular site: $36, local ad site:$13.**, in my cart:$10.54

Metric set- regular site:$34.19, local ad $9.**, in my cart: $7.52

Edit, by adding these two wrench sets to my cart the 3 pc hose pinch plier set I already had in my cart dropped from $40 to $33.97 and for the first time in a long while they gave me $10 in surprise points today.

I gave up on watching cart items at Sears.

When I select show cart it always errors out, my previous orders screen is always wrong, it says I always have open orders, just now I logged in and all the items in my cart say FREE in red letters, also today it took 4 calls and 1:30 hours to finally get to an American person to discuss an issue I had.

Just a heads up - my local store has quite a few good deals in the local ad going on right now. I'm looking at dropping about $300 on stuff, from hammers and specialty tools to a dado blade set and belt sander. It's worth taking a look!

As always, look at your store's offerings on the local ad page, and look for items that are priced ending with 4 (i.e. $**.X4). These are usually the better deals on stuff that often doesn't go on sale. Prices are usually 25-75% off. Also, coupons usually work on this stuff as it's not marked a hot buy, so you can make the deals even sweeter!

I've been looking for a dado set and am curious which one you're considering. I poked around but didn't see any pricing on dado sets that jumped out at me.

It is the Craftsman 6" dado, on sale for $48.94 at my local store in Portage, MI. I don't know much about dado blades but it has good reviews and should be sufficient for my occasional use.

You can check prices at your local store at local.sears.com. Be sure to enter your location and then search for dado. Deals very by location, so it may not be for sale at your store. If you have other nearby stores, it may be worth checking those as well.

Thanks for pointing this out, picked out about $53 worth of stuff and found I had $45 in points, then got $10 back in points. I like free!
