has anyone done it? my floor area is 29x28, how do i do it in a checker board? how much will it take to do it?

anyone do thier floor like this, i want it to look like hot rod garage :), should i or can I use tile?

Lots of guys have done it, and posted photos of it, although I haven't.

Take a look through the flooring section here, and you should see threads on some of the assorted materials available (Home Depot, Craftsman, Race Deck, etc) along with opinions and experiences with the quality of such things.

A gander through some of the posts in the garage gallery should help you find an assortment of designs and application techniques to give you a myriad of ideas.

I'm actually thinking about doing it, but painting it on with the epoxy coating. The tiles can’t stand up the abuse that I put the floor through, but the epoxy isn’t doing too bad. Has anyone done this? All I’ve seen is tile.

I'm pretty sure I remember seeing photos of someone who did that, in the Garage Gallery section. I'm afraid I can't remember who's garage it was, but the thread would have been started prior to Dec/05
