That is very nice Robert. I have a couple questions for you. Where did you get the foot locks and I see you went from single hinge to a piano hinge. Did the piano hinge make it stronger or more stable. I also noticed the wire going through the back of the cabinet does not have a camphor or a rubber grommet to keep the cord from chafing when the saw is running due to vibration. I also have one more question for you where do you get the cold blades and will they fit on a regular cut off saw arbor. Do you have to turn the cold saw blade slower than the cutoff blades. You have a very good idea that worked out super nice for everyone to see.

Foot locks sourced at a local supply house in town.

The Single hinge showed a little too much deflection when I put a heavy load up on it so I cut them off and went to the Piano Hinge.
Rear port is now grommet-ed with a rubber dust seal style.
Cold Blades are stocked at my local welding supply.

Sorry no, they will not work on a abrasive style chop saw. This is a low speed high torque saw. It only turns 1200 RPM

Hi Rob,

Since this was brought up in another thread, it made me think, Hows the slugger holding up? Still like it?

Just watched your video's

I suggest you put a roll stop on it, it will keep you from chasing it all over the shop.

nicely done:beer: I think maybe you could add a couple of handles to the front and bottom edge of the wings, would help to lift and pull the cart around?:dunno::thumbup:

What is the purpose of the welded 1/2" ring of tubing under the lazy Susan upper plate discussed in Post 1? A guide to space the fixed and rotating plates if the bearing *****?

The ring allows the clearance of the top "rotating plate" to be less then 1/8" and when locked down with the clamp I made holds it quite rigid.
