Hello newbie to site here. Im building a garage. Foundation, walls, trusses and all exterior is covered in steel. Now starting interior. Trying to figure out how to install cieling. Think I will go with white steel by screwing the steel to the bottom of the trusses. How do I attach the ceiling at the gable ends? The end trusses are on the outer side of the top plate so when I install the steel on the bottom of the inteior trusses it will **** up against the inside of top plates so nothing to screw up into. Is it just ok to nail a 1 x 4 on the top plates that overhangs in the interior. It would be something to screw to? I hope I have explained everything as to understand.

Thanks

PS trusses are on 24" centre, plan to have plastic vapour before installing steel on ceiling, then blow in insulation.

Yes, 1x4 - 2x4 - 2x2, along inside, anything that will allow you to anchor the bottom of the sheets to.

I always use a 2x6 for more strength. 2 x 4/6 is standard.

In carpentry terms this is called a nailer. I am going to use 1x6 for mine because I get 12 footers salvaged from long shipping crates free from work.
