That looks awesome, I have a heap of C-clamps that need this treatment can you describe your method?
I’d like to know as well. I actually just picked up an old Armstrong 12” No. 412 today. Link to my post.

I’ve cleaned up a couple of other old c-clamps with Krud Kutter Must for Rust, brass and steel brushes and wire wheels. As a finish.. I’ve only used a light lube. This time.. I think I’m going to try Boiled Linseed Oil.

It’d be great to trade notes.

Thanks Jayman! Well…de-rusted with vinegar (pros and cons), filed and sanded outside portions but left the recessed area pitted for a nice textured look…then blued it with Birchwood-Casey Perma Blue. 👍
Wow. That does look good. Do you contract out? lol.
Thanks Mike…Don’t contract out just since I’m a rookie, that was my first resto and mistakes were made, but I’ll keep that in mind. 🤣
