I've read a little about these on PM, better built over the BP but more expensive etc. Anyone running one? I see one on FB MP.
I have ran one, very nice and heavy machines.

Much better than a series 1 Bridgeport and I would even rate them slightly above a series 2 Bridgeport.

Closer to a Tree in quality.

I want one someday.

From what I remember collets on them are unique although later machines came with a 40 taper spindle. So make sure you buy a machine that has a full set of collets or a 40 taper spindle.

The one I used had a NMTB 40 taper which are available. Your absolutely correct about the odd size collets some mills used such as the B&S collet as the are hard to impossible to source now days

I've only run one or two but enjoyed using them more than a BP. More robust, smoother, less vibration (mass) and just a better build IIRC. The post above saying get a full set of collets is spot on, find out what the spindle taper is before negotiating price.

Photos will be required if you get it.

Already sold.
-As was once remarked to me by a realtor (but applies to cars, machinery, apartments, etc.) "If it's priced right and shows well it will sell quickly". There are always people that only look for what's a cut above the rest, the Cincinnati (if it was in good shape) was a highly sought machine and didn't last long on the market. Sorry you missed that chance, I'd like to have one too. You'll now know to beat feet to a seller with cash in hand if it's something worth buying. What was the seller asking?

Here's one over in the Tulsa area. Will need some cleanup, but if it stays outside much longer, it will need more.

I was at a machinery auction about 5 years ago which had a nice one, 40 taper with tooling, with the horizontal spindle in the rear of the ram option, if I hadn't just spent 3,800 on my Bridgport I would have gone for it but I did stop watching the bidding on it when it went over 6k.

They are nicer machines than a Bridgport but it's still a knee mill, with all the classic knee mill problems.

It was the one above, to far away without any contact from the seller.

My dad has one in his shop. We had to make an adapter for the collets. I can't remember off hand how we did it now, but it works great.
