I have a HF 6 gal 150 PSI compressor that had an internal fitting fail.
SO while I have it apart I am cleaning it up.
The aluminum parts have a little surface corrosion, and I wonder since the bottom of the cylinder is open to the same environment if it would be a good idea to apply some type of light surface lubricant or protectant.
Maybe a spray on dry film or silicon based spray.
I figure it can't hurt, but wanted to ask first.
