Good one Andy![]()

Is that a piece of silo fill pipe you've used for the blacksmith chimney ??![]()
Andy glad you go the antenna up so know I can get a hold of you while you are out working in the shop.
Bret
Hammer time!
So this old Stanley dowel machine presented me with a stuck cutter today. They torque down when in use and also tend to rust a bit in place. Getting it loose is a challenge because of the spinning shaft. Normally I just pick up a scrap piece of wood and whack at it. BUT now I have a hammer made from soft Andyluminum. Two whacks and the cutter was freed. It was nice to put the hammer to work. Now it can earn its keep around the shop.
Handy: nice work attaching the antenna to your chimney!!
how is your reception now inside and around your shed/shop/paint booth/broom room?
could the crack in your trivet maybe be from some impurity in the material you used from one of the muffins? hope you figure it out cause you were pumping those nice gifts out of the forge and mailing them all over the world at a nice pace.
hope the doctor's appointment went as well as could be expected with your bride. how's your health which seems pretty good at the pace you keep doing stuff?
enjoy your SATURDAY and i'll certainly enjoy mine.
I noticed a cold Heinekin in the Coke machine so grabbed it and hope that was ok or since i'm a middle man for good beer it won't be long before i can return it.
cheers

This makes me smileI can report the booster boosts boastful boasts bountifully.

This makes me smile![]()

You made a trivet for John L. Grove himself ?? Maybe they can start putting them on the hoods of all the JLG stuff like they used to on the old VW buses

Andy, that is just so awesome of Jim![]()
Looks like you've had a bit of a boost! That mobile network range extender is a nice piece of kit. Good job of the installation too.
Shame about the casting fail. But looks like your having fun doing it again and nothing lost that cant be re-used there.
Whoa... that is some nice mill tooling and a very cool looking plane.
Feels like I have been gone for a week. Due for a Saturday or 3 from tomorrow!

I've got a Bobcat at home. Do you have a JLG? Maybe we could start a construction company.Hey Andy, I have a question for you. On your old Chevy COE, you have the Chevy emblem on the front of the hood. If you wanted it to say "Cadillac" instead of "Chevrolet" and get rid of the "bow tie", how would you make the change?

OMFG, Look what Mickey delivered to my suite.
Andy, I’m honoured, thanks mate.
Both will be exported home to London, and taken care of.
Many many thanks.
Best wishes

Handy: i'm just poking my head in and noticed you've been busy (what else is new), but now you are getting gifts back from members on a regular basis too. looks like Jim found a few nice things to send to you and can't even imagine how hard the little CUBE was to make that Vieux sent you.
always fun looking in and seeing what's up in OKLAHOMA. good to hear the new phone boosting is working better and hope that fixed the problem.
speaking of health i'm headed to a Dr. that is a hand specialist cause i've got something I'm not sure I can cure myself even though I know good eating and exercise can cure quite a bit.
anyway I don't drink beer all that often and quit drinking pop years ago even though I love the taste of it so i'll just wait to get some cold ice tea or sweet tea if that is what you make.
cheers and have a great SATURDAY!!

Andy: I’m glad that jbl was able to help you out. Even thou there was some expense to solve the problem, the peace of mind it brings is priceless....... Been there and know the experience.
Andy: good to hear your new phone system works a lot better. do you have a speed dial set up for your bride to dial you on her phone?
Let's agree on some items on HEALTH and agree to disagree on others cause it really doesn't matter how old you are. I heard a friend tell me the other day that a friend of his was from Lebanon and if you lived past 12 years old there you might have a great chance to live a long and healthy life.
it's 85 and sunny without a breath of wind here today so hope your day is at least as nice.
cold water is my go to drink most meals where we eat out a nice restaurant cause most times their ice tea isn't as good as what i make at home.

Ok a friend and I paid a visit to Andy's place yesterday. We casted two hammers and a impromptu wrench like the one he made for the lathe in the wood shop.
The wrench was started at 3:35 with Andy tracing his wrench head on a piece of foam. Then free handing the handle parts. The wrench was out of the sand by 4:35. Deburred and polished by 5:00.
We were there about 11 hours. David (my friend) is only two weeks younger than Andy and has been a pipe line welder all his life. And since Andy is a pipe line engineer they got along like peas and carrots. The fact they both like old rusty tractors and shiny old cars made for a very long tour as everything had to be examined while the history was discussed.
I thought about taking pictures several times but couldn't find any thing Andy hasn't showed us before. So I just put my phone away.
Glen.

Handy: sounds like you had some fun on your SATURDAY!! good to hear you were able to show DC how the forge and all your other goodies look in person.
ENJOY YOUR SUNDAY!!
DC: some day i'd love to stop by and visit Andy and maybe help him CLEAN UP!! great to see that you and your friend were able to.

I think with the new forge in play he's lost interest in cleaning up the shop.Andy
The light breezes are always welcome this time of year.

Just pick a warm day and drop by. I will have the AC on and will be pounding on something with the hammer. It's OK because now I have a nice broom to clean up the mess.

Yeah thats me in the back. The only thing they let me do was smash the cans since I was the kid of the group.
We had a great time. Andy is a gracious host.
Glen

Oh and you all don't feel bad about getting lost in Andy's shop on the internet. I was there the better part of the day and am still scratching my head a little.
But I do know where the coke machine is now and the cherry coke was cold and delicious.
Glen
My hammer #29 David has #30 and the wrench; he doesn't do the interwebs unfortunately.

While we didn't make any brooms I did confiscate one. Here it is with Davids grandson/my son in law.

Andy's shops look like a place where you can easily forget what time it is from all of the toys. Hope there were enough dimes.

I've got a clock in every room because when you get busy working time does fly by.
