The radio had it wrong then, they are at 265,000 and going to 275,000 today. They are concerned about water coming in, it's been at 300,000 and with continued rains may increase. 215,000 square mile drainage basin, western Oklahoma and SW Kansas runoff gets here in a few days and everything is saturated. When it gets to the top of the gates they lose the ability to control it to limit downstream flooding. The million cfs is at the top of the openings, not far from topping the dam and washing it out. It is earthen filled.
I don't know how big a football field is, I think 300 ft by 150 ft playing area which is a little over a acre. 265,000 cfs is 6 acre feet per second.
They haven't been at 165,000 cfs since May 22, and are at 267,000 out this morning with 295,000 coming in.
It rose 8" overnight.
Nearly wasted.

Thanks for looking anyway.
