I just ordered a set but wondering about the SAE sizes, it says large wrench set, the metrics are large, but the SAE--they are 1/4 through 1/2"?? those don't seem very large.

Is the description incorrect on their site?

They are 1-1/4, 1-5/16, etc.

I ordered a set last night. If you’re ok with getting SYW points instead of a straight discount, code SYW20 brings the price down to $52.

AFAICT there’s no way to avoid the $10 shipping cost. Anyone have a way around that?

A couple of questions..... Do you have to pay shipping on these? Can you use Shop Your Way Rewards Points? I can't seem to figure that out on their site.

Customer service just told me my original order from last Tuesday is still on backorder and that they're mistakenly on their website. Best of luck.

I put in a quantity of 99 just to test if it would let me check out with it and it did. So I doubt the sears stock information is correct if they even have any at all.

Could someone who has these wrenches tell me how long the 1 1/2" one is?

Bill

19"... I'll post a pic of it next to a ruler... if I can figure out how to upload!

My order from a couple of weeks ago still hasn't shipped. Good luck, but I'd question the current stock. Of course as bad as Sears is these days anything is possible.

So today the word is they'll ship by 12/20...I won't be holding my breath.

Thanks for keeping us updated.

The site still says "In Stock" and doesn't say "Limited Quantities" like the other wrench sets so I'm cautiously optimistic. But like you said, no point in holding my breath. Maybe I'll call in tomorrow.

No, SK made the older Professionals. These are Armstrong long panel
However, note that most people that ordered haven't gotten any...so don't hold your breath.

I wouldn't say that most that ordered didn't get them. There were some lost shipments, lost half during shipment, but, many who ordered the first go round like me, got them without any issues.
I don't have a clue as to Why These are being sold by Sears Parts Direct instead of normal Sears online sales :wtf:
They are definitely Armstrong made wrenches. The ones I got were made in October 2014 according to parts list sheet in the box.
Be patient, stay positive, and perhaps a heavy cardboard box with two bags of wrenches inside will show up on your front porch.

Ordered both the first round and this round in hopes of getting a set...let's just say I haven't.

I don't think it's accurate to post likeliness off of the first few people - obviously at some point they had some in stock, which those people received.

Ordered a set of the large wrenches on Sunday. Today I found the $20 worth of points posted to my account and it shows "sent to supplier for processing" as a status. Says it will ship in 1-2 day.

These are being sold thru SPD so that they don't have to give us free shipping and so that we cannot pay some or all the price with SYW points and FreeCash.

I'm in.

Gave it a try, and I guess if it's not real I'll have my money back. $70 for a quality set of large wrenches that I need is too good to pass up the risk.

Just ordered another set. Really love the first set. As others have said this forum cost me a lot of money. But, I love it.

I also ordered two sets, one in each round. Both orders still show sent to manufacturer. I'm not holding out much hope at this point, since my first order is a couple of weeks old now.
