He said the parts store loaner is taking your life in your hands, and the $160 labor charge is a safe bet, ie I interpret that to mean preferable over buying a tool he’ll likely never use again .I don't understand what he was looking for. I looked on marketplace and searched 100 mile radius from Detroit since he lists SE Michigan as location and linked a nice strut tamer for 200 bucks. He said that wasn't affordable tool, yet it's only 40 bucks more then taking it to a shop. But says the only option you can find for less then 200 is "taking your life in your hands!" Guess he was looking for a branick for 40 bucks.
Sounds like he concluded paying the shop is the best option.
