Why have combination table/miter saws been a thing in Europe for a long time and not in the US?
Safety regulations.
Due to their inherent designs, they don't meet US safety guidelines.
i checked out some videos. interesting concept but poor execution I think. very bulky design and the tablesaw part is way to tiny to be useful for much.
What sort of regulation?
This had popped in my head when I helped a friend install laminate in her condo. I had to carry the miter and table saw up the stairs and had wondered if a combo unit existed.
So are Europeans slicing themselves all over or does our government think we are too stupid to use them?
