OSB is not airtight and drywall is cheaper.
Essentially, if you have 12" joists, you need 11-1/2" of insulation in there.

1st- I am not going to worry about heating the downstairs right now. That is not a major concern. I am going to go with the sunstream like forced air diesel/kerosene as a temporary solution. Only $180 for a 75K BTU one.
