Compressor loosing air someplace

I finally got my 60 gal. Air compressor hooked up but am loosing air someplace. I pressurized to 125 psi and it went down to about 85 psi over a 2-day period. I soaped all joints but found no leaks. Is it typical to loose some air over time or is this not normal? How can I go about finding the leaks that is better than soap?

40 psi over 48 hours...that will be tough to find.

I use a commercial bubble solution (mega bubble is the name that comes to mind), but a leak like that will be VERY small and hard to find.
Could it be your quick connects? You may have to dunk them under water to see.

Could be going back through the checkvalve. Pull the fitting off the compressor and see if it is going out the indoor sorta thing. Also the bleedoff on bottom. Possible valve leak.

40 psi over 2 days should not be hard to find. That would make some serious bubbles.

I had similar issues; I redid all the connections using Permatex High Performance Thread Sealant paste after removing all the teflon tape .. No more leaks
