Is it correct that the two hots are L1 and L2, and the ground is going to be the "join" thanks

First what voltage is the motor? For 220 or higher, L1 and L2 are power leads.
For 120v, L1 is power, L2 is neutral.
With either, ground is the green screw on the housing.
The "join" leads are part of the motor direction set up. You wire nut them together, but DON'T ground them!!!!
