alright, so the junk kobalt i had is back to lowes. got my new compressor home tuesday. i ended up with a napa unit, same as the belaire 216v. they gave me a great out the door price that i couldnt refuse. any ways i got the spot picked out for where its going and im trying to figure up materials to plumb it in. the bung in the tank is 1/2in and is welded in with a 1/2in ball valve. my main run to my work bay will be about 30ft or so. should i bump up to a 3/4in adaptor and run 3/4in main line or just keep with the 1/2in and the bung in the tank will be the bottle neck to begin with? also plan on using copper pipe, l m or k thickness? thanks

Any of the Cu pipe sold has pressure ratings appropriate for the pressures in an air system.
I'd jst run 1/2", will be cheaper. Unless you have something like a sandblast cabinet thats going to be continuous run.

1/2 is plenty. So much easier to fit and less fittings to reduce.

Remember to use a flexible jumper between the valve and the hard piping...3 foot long or so.
^^^That ......and what the others said regarding 1/2” copper being more than adequate.

Going to 3/4" will be of no benefit to you.

Easiest cheapest way for that is off shelf hydraulic hose specifically at TSC usually for best price... they have different lengths like 1' - 6' or so ... or your NAPA, but probably more $.
Insulates the hard pipe from vibration and dampens vib noise.

Any hydraulic supply shop can fix you up with a hose. I personally would consider a sharkbite flex hose like I use to hook up waterheaters.
35 bucks for 1/2 hose and fittings. 16 in overall length, 1/2npt female on one end 1/2in slip male fitting on other end. the slip/jointed male fitting is what drove the cost up

I think TSC prices are regional. In my area they are usually the most expensive shop in town.
