My old reliable portable Craftsman 921.152100 has a leaking pressure switch that should hysically click it off. So it has endless leaking and run time if I let it run.

It's not individually called out in the blow-up of parts:
http://www.searspartsdirect.com/par...47/0703000?pathTaken=&prst=0&shdMod=921152100

It's at the end of the copper line and looks a lot like the one mounted to this manifold:

Is the serviceability of it such that I need to buy the whole manifold / switch as a unit? I've eBayed and googled a bit so far.

Thanks.

Mine isn't exactly the same, but I was able to find just the brass flare fitting and schrader assembly somewhere, I don't remember if it was eBay or mastertoolrepair.

However, a whole new pressure switch assembly isn't that expensive either, as mentioned above they are like $20...

20$ part and also is the reason I have my compressor on a switched on/off circuit right by the door. Neighbours don't like compressors running at night, so it was an easy solution.

Northern tool has a good selection of pressure switches. That's where I got mine.

It sounds like, based on their description, mine is the schraeder unloader valve.

http://www.mastertoolrepair.com/schrader-valve-ps1010rv-p-2307.html

The video they have on their site showing a test of the check valve was enlightening. I held my thumb over the ck valve and then it held to 90psi. So it's the unloader valve.

Yeah I could have ordered the valve assy. Bit I'm glad I did that test and I have another compressor to fix so the experience is fun.

Disassembled the valve and re-tefloned a couple fittings. Apparently the valve just h djunk in it. It's working. :)
