You should be fine. Just make sure it's somewhat dusted out on the inside so that it can keep itself cool. The little iMac ruining in 100f temps in the shade should be no problem at all.
For reference I have Lenovo laptops. I routinely rub them outside in direct sunlight and have had problems even when the surface is almost unstable touch.
Dust is a bigger problem.
I have an old iMac from 2000 and my college days that I've been using as a shop computer for years. Never had any issues with heat. Just use a keyboard you don't care about cause it's gonna get greasy when you go to look stuff up while working on a project
I'm typing this from the iMac in my workshop. The shop is well insulated, but when I open the door on a hot day, it warms up pretty quickly.
I think it'll be fine. Just keep the vents on it clear of built-up dust and stuff.
