Hello, I am new to this site and have searched this forum and everywhere else I could think of and did not find my answers so I will post the questions here.
I have an existing garage with a 3 1/2 " floor which is not thick enough for my 2 post lift install. I am going to cut a pad and re-pour 6" under each leg. My questions are:
1) How large (width x length) does the "new" pad need to be? base plate on lift is 17"x19"
2) The existing garage does have a 32" footing, does the "new" pad need to be as deep as the existing footing ? or since it is inside the existing footing will 6" be enough?
Thanks in advance for any and all responses.
