This is on my 18' X 8' 5 panel garage door. I bought it second hand and redid the opening of my garage to install it. The low overhead track it came with is causing some issues and I want to convert it to standard track. The double horizontal track on the low overhead looks like the main radius is the same as the 12" radius on the standard track, so I'm wondering if I bought taller vertical track could I raise the springs and double horizontal track and only use the 12" radius to make it a standard style?

Expert advice is appreciated! Hope my explanation is clear:confused:

Maybe. Most of the time the various parts comprise a complete system. Change the verticals and the cables may be too short. Use the original horizontals and your spacing from the wall could be off. What are the issues? If it droops in the opening that is normal. Put on an opener for an 8' door and it will pull the door full open. Good luck

HRG, the issue is that my door kind of blew up on me. I'm the guy who did this: https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=379080

Worked great for a while then one day decided to throw the cable off of one spool and bring the other side up **** eyed until it stalled. I kinda gave up and called the garage door co. Jake informed me that he has never seen a side mount jack shaft opener on a low overhead track. Said they just won't work properly. So now the door is manually operated until I can convert it to standard track. The only horizontal 12" radius track I've found is over $200 which is more than I paid for the door. That's why I'm looking for advice as to whether just buying longer, less expensive vertical track will work.
Thanx for your response!
