Are the LED lights the kind that will work on 12V - 24V?

That predator apparently has quite the following in the performance department. For alot of money you can bolt on parts to make it 20hp.

That turned out awesome! The emblem you had cut was much larger than I thought. You need to put a mask and gloves on and do the Lord's work and distribute some beer to the neighborhood!

BTW, I normally hate it when someone quotes all the pictures. But considering you needed those on the latest and greatest page....just had too.

That is very cool, you executed the construction and finishing details flawlessly! Do you have a link to the 20v adapter?

Great job Vincent. That looks awesome.

When will mine be shipped and I like red with lots of chrome.:lol_hitti

Thanks very much Mike! Keep and eye out at X-mas. Maybe the fat guy in the red suit will bring you one. :)

Awesome!
Great attention to detail and execution.
Loved the videos.

Thanks! I appreciate the kind words.

Yes, these LEDs are rated for 12-24V. They definitely look a lot brighter at 20V vs. 12V, I just hope they last. The good news is they won't see a ton of use.

Very nice cart but needs the Vtwin. lol

Thanks Shorty, but it's dangerous enough right now!

Thanks man. I'm happy with the emblem, and will be ordering from those guys again for sure.

Good job! Nice build.

Thank you!

That is cool (er)! Great Work!

I appreciate that!

That cooler cart looks like total pooh. Did you take any time really going over the details at all?

I mean, just send that junk to me and I will be sure to dispose of it for you.

JK man, looks great, lets see some wheelie videos.

Yeah I know I **** at the details, but hey, this was my first one!

I don't know about a wheelie, but if turn too quick/sharp you'll be on three wheels or two in no time.

Thanks!

How is the Kart holding up?

Thanks for checking back in.

Unfortunately I've been the victim of some very bad timing. First the pandemic hit, which cancelled my first event to use to the cart. Fast forward to two weeks ago and I had to miss another track event because I myself contracted the virus. This past weekend I was still in quarantine, so I missed a 3rd event.

My next opportunity to use it will be in three weeks...unless yet another thing happens.

Hope virus doesn’t hit you to hard.

Thanks.

My case was relatively mild. Pretty much the same symptoms as the flu for me except the exhaustion factor lasts a lot longer. My current lasting side affect after 14 days is loss of my sense of smell, but my taste seems to be back about 90%.

Hello aka Larry

Anything to report to us, waiting patiently. Did you fully recover? Hope all is well.

Sorry, but thanks for asking.

I'd say I'm about 95% back to normal, but my wife is struggling with breathing issues, cough and fatigue.

On a note related to this thread, I still have gotten to use the damn Cooler Kart. I missed two events due to Covid, and one due to rain.

Well I FINALLY got the use the Cooler Kart this past Friday!

I found a track event to attend and took the kart along just to have some fun with it. It works well, but I confirmed the slicks are for pavement only. Any grass or sand and the drive wheel just spins. I'll probably leave the fronts as-is, and replace the rears with some type of treaded tires.

Time to upgrade the engine? Glad you are getting to enjoy it, does sound like fun.

JB

I know 20MPH doesn't sound fast, but trust me, on this thing, that speed is more than enough! The C-of-G is quite a bit higher than a typical go-kart.

4-17-22 Update.

I had a couple of items I wanted to add to the build.

First was the addition of a trailer hitch. I built this almost 2 years ago, but finally got around to installing it yesterday. The purpose is to be able to pull our pit cart with the Cooler Kart at the races

Second was for some added bling. I bought some LED strips over 2 years ago, but never installed them because I didn't want to go to the trouble of removing the engine so I could turn the kart upside down for installation. I decided to see if I could get the kart on the lift, which worked, so I installed them with the kart raised on the lift.

Here's a shot of what it looks like with jus the under glow LEDs:
