About to place the order for my metal roofing and would love to have it correct as it looks like a 4 week delivery.
Can only afford corrugated 3 foot wide panels.....still can't understand why sq ft of raised ridge in same thickness is 35percent more.
Concern I have is length. I can get 5,8,10, or 12 foot pieces. Exact measure from top of ridge to end of ply is 19' 9.5". Figure I add drip edge of one inch and metal overhang that by an inch i'm at 19' 11.5".
Ridge cap says its 14 inches so is that covering 7 on each side? or less like 5?
Manufacturer says overlap panels by 6 inches which is where I have the problem.
I'd obviously like no waste which is why I was hoping to just use 2 ten footers on each run. Thinking if I slide the top one down 4 inches from peak of ridge and only have 4 inch overhang it will be ok?
Or should I use a ten and 12 foot and overlap a foot or so?
