Hi everybody,

I joined this week and I mentioned I would post some of my projects.
Here is a car dolly I made to be able to work on one of my corvettes. It was one of my first mig welding projects so the weld is not that pretty but it works.
With this dolly I am able to lift the whole car up to around 2 1/2 feet off the ground.
It's made using square 3 x 3 x 1/8 tubing for the outside and the inner tubing is 2.5 x 2.5 x 1/8 It is fully adjustable to just about any size car.
I had looked to buy one but they were all to expensive. I put this together for around $225 and I found the castors in a scrap bin where I was working.

Enjoy and please comment.

I'm not doing a frame off, I have some frame work to do at the rear kick ups.
Plus I'm putting new floors in as the last guy had changed them but it was not done right.
New gas lines and brake lines also will be replaced.

Looks good. Does it flex in the middle?
I built a similar cart to hold the body from my bronco but its not adjustable like yours. I think you just gave me an idea for my next one.

I have seen no flexing and I have the whole car on the dolly. The only items that were not on the car when I lifted it is the interior.
Since then I have removed the rear end, trailing arms, differential, gas tank and a few other items.

This dolly makes it a lot easier to do a frame on restoration as I am only fixing it up to sell it.
