Hello GJ,
I started an introduction page so forgive me if you saw some of this already. This will be my home base thread for My Corvette Garage. I will make updates here. I hope to learn a lot form you guys out there. I have really enjoyed all of your garages.
I really like seeing the different followings...some Ford, Pontiac, Chrysler, Benz, VW, Audi, BMW, or whatever your flavor I respect them all. Well I'm the Chevy guy, even my dogs name is Chevy
I've always loved Vettes since a young boy when my uncle introduced me to them.
I bought my 1978 25th anniversary corvette in '03 in near junk condition. Spent a few years restoring her to be a driver. Did the resto mostly myself. Only out sourced bodywork and paint. Otherwise I have turned every nut and bolt on that car.
What she looked like when I bought her for the low price of $2,500 but the body and frame were strait.
Some years later
In '07 I bought my first house that I'm still in today. I live with my girlfriend who is very supportive of my hobby.
The garage in '07 when I started.
I put in better lighting. Electrical outlets all the way around. And a ceiling fan.
The garage a few years later when I acquired my black 2007 Corvette.
2012 the Corvette Garage got a facelift...
Then I picked up my baby. A 1996 Grand Sport. Coupe # 322 of a 1,000 units built. After narrowing it down by optioned equipment, my car is 1 of 197. A true collector/show car with 13,570 miles on her.
To accommodate my thee loves I had a Bendpak four post lift installed by SAR Automotive from NJ. They were fare priced for delivery and install. Truly a good company
The girlfriend and I just did some organizing and rearranging. So this is the latest picture of my Corvette Garage.
Future plans are for Race Deck flooring but I still have to decide color and pattern. Wall mounted tire rack, better lighting, and storage for the landscaping equipment.
I hope you guys will give me your suggestions and opinions
