CP7748 VS IR2135TiMax????

I see a lot of talk about the 2135timax and very little about the cp7748. The few reviews i have found on the cp7748 have been great and many have said it is more powerful and better made than the 2135timax.

Does anyone have first hand experience with the CP7748 and maybe used it along side the 2135timax?

Maybe others can chip in but I would think both were very good tools. The funny thing about the GJ is that everyone talks mostly about their love of IR and you almost never hear much talk about cp air tools.

I picked up a CP7749 NIB at a pawn shop for $70 about 2 years ago.

It has been a good impact that I use at my home shop while the IR2135TIMAX stays at the day shop.

CP makes good tools.

You have to go at least hold one at the store. I have never felt a gun that is truly an extension of your arm. The balance is amazing!

Proto makes this exact same gun for MAC tools with a price of 450 bucks.

Not sure. Buy if you're going to buy one. Deal with trident. for 250 bucks, it's a steal.

If you look at the Amazon reviews of the CP 7748, I'm in there as "Thunder". CP is my go to brand for pneumatic tools unless another brand really stands out for a specific tool, like Dynabrade sanders. You get a lot of quality and power for the price. The new Proto sounds great, but for considerably more than the CP. Certainly wouldn't be disappointed with any of the impacts mentioned.

My boss has that Mac gun, and all 3 of us at the shop have the 2135timax as well. The Mac gun comes out when the IRs just can't get it done (rarely). The balance is really really good for such a heavy gun. I can't stand the controls on it though and could never see being happy using it all day like I do the IR. As far as the original question, have used CPs in the past and liked them, but I love my IR.

Taiwan...Same as the rest of them. All My Ingersoll rand air tools are made there as well. I have over 20 of them. All the same COO.

That being said, the quality is second to none.

Thanks. Taiwan beats PRC any day in my book, and that does look like a beast. If I didn't already have a 2135 I'd be looking hard at Trident's deal.

The titanium IR is made in North Carolina in the USA iirc.

I assume you're talking about the Mac AW612q or the AW480Q ?
