Crack Happens

Just had a new floor poured 3 weeks ago. Spent the extra money to get 3500 psi concrete and fiber mesh. I still got a crack, about an inch from the stress relief cut. You know that damn thing is going to run many feet before migrating over to the cut.

Don't ya just hate it when the stress relief cuts end up in the wrong place! I'm not sure if you can take a chisel and make a cut at the end of the crack to turn it into the relief.

Bill all i can say is welcome to florida we are sitting on water 10 feet below us and there is no way that it is not going to crack even more. I did the same combination as you and i got cracks to.I hate to say it but you will probably see more in the comming weeks i did everything to prevent it but they still happened and everyone i talked to said well its florida all concrete cracks here.i wish you the best!!
