Craftsman 3/4" drive sockets super clearance.

I'm not sure if this is at all sears stores or just my local store, but the 3/4" drive dual marked socket sets are on super clearance. I picked up the 46305 9pc metric set for $9.97, and the 46306 6pc metric set for $19.97. That's $260 worth of sockets for only $30 + tax!


They are dual marked and stamped with the -K- which could be Danahar or SK??

BTW: If anyone is interested, I bought two sets of each set, So I have an extra 15pc (22mm to 42mm) metric set that I will trade for a matching SAE set.


EDIT: At this time I'm not interested in selling the extra set. I'm only interested in trading. If I was to sell them, I would ask much more then I paid so I could get the SAE set and that would not be fair to anyone.

First off, thanks to the OP. I was able to pick up both sets at my local sears this afternoon for $30.

And good news for the garage journal members looking for a set. I picked up an extra one. My total was $32 after tax, and you are looking at $16 for a flat rate box from USPS (these suckers are HEAVY@!!!!).... so $48 PayPaled (Not a payment, I don't want to pay fees) and I'll drop a set in the mail tomorrow for anyone looking for a set.

I just got back from sears and they were all out of the 9 piece but had two 6 piece sets so I bought them. If anyone goes to sears and they only have the 9 piece sets I would do a straight swap plus $10 for a 9 piece set.

Sears almost always never posts the clearance price online. You have to go in the store and ask the sales associate to check the price for you.

Got two 9pc sets for 9 each unfortunately after tracking down a 6pc set in another city and being quoted 19 over the phone my parents went down to get it and the guy refused to sell it for 19 instead I got it for 45.

went to another store, the 9 pc was scanning at $45

mentioned to the clerk it's on clearance nationwide at 9.99, he got his manager and told him the same and already picked up the 6 pc at 19.99, he said if you can prove that, i.e. receipt, i'll see what i can do so i went out to the car and brought it in and he marked it down to 9.97 - i didn't push the extra 10% craftsman club discount...lol

I've been watching these sets for some time - they have been on clearance since at least april - each month they were taking 10% off, I almost pulled the trigger last week as they had their pink stickers on them from June. I asked the clerk, seeing it's July now and they still only have the June markdown on it (to $45). He said they don't control when the next months discount happens, its from corporate.

so for them to state they've gone back up in price seems inconsistent - new stock perhaps?

I think they will always be available as a full set on the website at regular price. Seems sears is just getting rid of stock in stores that sell poorly. Just like a few months ago when they got rid of specific sizes of the SAE 3/4" sockets.

That said they are definitely insanely cheap. I picked up 3 sets from my local store. RRP of >$700 for $90.

I highly doubt that K-Mart would have anything in 3/4" drive but you can always check.

Didn't make it to sears yesterday. Checked online this morning and thy were showing in stock so I stopped in. Guy said one of you guys just beat me to them. All that was left was the 9pc metric set. Thanks to whoever it was that left that set instead of scooping them all up to resell.

Oh, and they had some leftover clearance stuff from back a while too. I grabbed the 7 pc screwdriver but set for 9.97 too. Cc netted another 10% off too.
