Purchased this set at my local sears last night for only $29.99. It is regularly $99.99! I know it's not SK, Mac, Cornwell, etc but it'll last me a long time of limited used. Hope someone else finds it useful too.

A nice price. My hex sockets have been disappearing and this will be a good way to replenish my collection. I prefer Mac and Snap On, but for the price of one of their sockets you can get a whole set...

I got this set last year. It's China but works so far. Not happy with the included ratchet tho... not smooth. But nothing has failed.

Recently used the 5mm hex on a hammer drill to unstick a rusted fastener and it worked fine. Moments earlier... I bent an L Allen key on it.

This set has been at $29.99 for a couple weeks now. I remember I waited a couple months for it to drop back down after I missed it another time it was $29.99.

It's an ok set, hasn't failed me yet in the month I've had it but the ratchet is pretty terrible.

I've had this set for a while and it works fine but watch out for the bit working its way out of the socket part. I've had to locktite some of my bits in and so far that has worked.

It's on sale at $29.99 often enough that you certainly don't want to ever buy it at regular price.
The sale price is a good deal. The regular price is highway robbery.

I bought this for $29.99 less than a month ago. I exchanged the ratchet because the handle had a couple of edges sharp enough to cut skin; didn't have any problem getting a new one. Then, I tried to actually use it. I used the torx t15 to try to tighten a HF flex-head 3/8 ratchet. The bit twisted on the second turn, leaving me with a swirled torx bit. Very decorative, but not so much useful. They exchanged that with no hassle, too, but I'm sensing a pattern here. Plus, the sockets have a bit of play when they're on the ratchet. Don't know it that'll be a problem, but I don't have high hopes. I'm considering returning it, though I'm hoping that maybe some of the other stuff will come in handy. And won't break.

I have it, have used it a couple of times, with no issues. I agree with the others, the ratchet *****, but I have other ratchets, so not an issue. I will admit, I have not had to cranks on anything too hard, but for the price, it's nice to have everything in one place.

I looked through the loose stock at my Sears and found the 7/32 hex bit socket USA made on sale for $2.94. This is the size of the bit that was coming loose on the Chinese set so I got it to compare. I've used it quite a bit now and it hasn't moved at all. Just looking at them through the drive hole you can see a difference in how they are made. The USA bit sockets are much better. Some of their later USA made tools may not be much different than the overseas counterpart but apparently these are.

I've seen the set pop up multiple times, but never remember the price. Is this the lowest it has been?

I bought mine for $19.99 a year or two ago. The case has turned into a paper weight, because the bits are such ****, I avoid using them. It blows, not even worth the $19.99 I paid for it.

Please elaborate. That sounds like a great idea. Basically a powered impact driver. How did you convert the drives? hex to square chuck adapter?

Yes hex to 1/4 drive. I buy them in 6 packs. I break them.... oh maybe once a month. I don't use the hex to 3/8 anymore... i breakout the air gun if it requires bigger than 1/4" drive. I have a lithium 1/4 impact but always forget about it.

I have grown lazy... if I can use a battery... I do... kinda like my wife.

So I take it you are using the small, basic hammer drills that have integrated drill chucks, not SDS style hammer or rotary hammer drills?
