Craftsman 50 pc Pro Screwdriver Set???

106 for 269 sounds better but that's a lot of money at once for something you can buy something one off as needed for less, buy a specialty thing or 2 you use a lot from a box store and some flea mkt set or 2 in blister pak, all together 75$ as you go.

I will have to say surprisingly the Cman screwdriver aint too bad, it does what its sposed to.

I have 2 small slotted cabinet driver ones, a Klien and a Cman with a plain looking tip. I keep them out of the way and don't use for chisels but they last about as well and can recall buying then both, the Cman was on clearance for a dollar or 2 and earned its keep well past the cost.

The rest of it just makes it a little easier. But that little yellow and blue screwdriver is the best one I ever owned. I think I rusted one up in a tool box but bought 2 for a dollar a piece 30 yrs ago and its still a known go to as I can recognize it and the tip is still good.

Its been used daily on average, has to be in the 1000's and 1000's of cycles.

I have had some of those pro screwdrivers myself for 7-8 years or so they are pretty nice. Not Snap On, but pretty nice. Personally I think that is way too many screwdrivers for DIY. I would buy a smaller set of common Craftsman Pro drivers, Channellock pliers in everything but the slip joints, and Knipex in the slip joints. I think you would have a better set for a little less depending on how many Knipex pieces you bought.

I carry about 6 maybe 8 screwdrivers on my service truck.

Since my thread has been resurrected, I'll tell you what happened to my screwdriver dilemma...

I gave up on the Craftsman Pro's, and bought a set of Proto Classic Professionals...

19 pc from Amazon...for $ 96.95...and

An 8 pc Phillips and a 9 pc Torx from ZORO tools....for $ 126.69...

I am now a happy camper...these are, in my opinion the best screwdrivers I've ever used...

And Proto has now apparently discontinued the Classic Yellow Handles, too...such is life...

great to see you went with the proto classics! i was reading thru this thread and i was just about to post to suggest you check them out... i have most of the proto classic line and i think you'll be very happy with them; they are fantastic quality drivers in the old style.
