Hmm, I just looked, it's now $405.00 for the top & $664.99 for bottom, $1,069.99 before tax. Still a smokin deal
The box *****, I own it
Read the reviews on the bottom tool chest. Alot of unhappy people. Basically saying the box is flimsy and ****.
I hate the drawer layout on these boxes. Might as well just buy two 26" stacks and save some cash.
But this looks like a good deal on a lot of storage, even if it is cheaply made.
Save yourself a couple of hundred bucks and buy a Masterforce at Menards.

I disagree. I like mine quite a lot.
well, out of 48 reviews over several years, it's averaging 4 out of 5 stars. that's not that bad.
but ok, looking at the five 1 star ratings, 1 doesn't make sense but the other 4 do mention the casters and the base being weak. the other 44 people who reviewed it didn't complain about the same thing. that's not exactly "a lot of unhappy people"...
that said, swapping out casters for a heavier duty one is a simple matter. adding some steel angle or C brackets to reinforce the base where the casters attach is simple. for the price, that's still a good deal even if it needs a few "upgrades". this is a craftsman box after all and for that brand it's pretty decent compared to the lower end **** they also sell.
but i guess for fellow GJers, it may not be good enough...
Well considering what I have also read on this thread I would consider ti a chep POS toolbox. Why would I wanna spend hundreds of dollars on this and have to "upgrade it" to make it work for me. Makes no sense. If I am spendign that kinda money I want to do it once and one time only and not have to go back and fix things. But hey thats just me.
