Found these Craftsman Screwdrivers at Dollarama on Victoria Ave Niagara Falls.
If they’re knock offs they’re good ones.
$4 each, I’ll be in the lookout for more.

I found a few of these at an Ollie’s when I Posted the pic of the Sears and Stanley Craftsman on the same endcap. There must have been a large quantity of them floating around somewhere in a warehouse.

I see them at my local store. The best deal I saw were 4 pc Milwaukee hex shank drill bits for $4. I bought them all!

I can only assume with Sears circling the drain like the half dead fish it is that there's a whole lotta NOS craftsman out there dumped in surplus. Clearing out warehouses & we'll be seeing it for years to come.

I mean the quality is on par with dollar store tools imo. The cheese driver's with smelly handles

Sears dumps the “good” stuff on their own website. Large surplus of single size stuff they seem to get rid of. However most sets and stuff go through their own website. They are selling off a Warehouse down in Florida, which is where this stuff is probably coming from. Most of it was probably buried somewhere there, some of the more lucrative stuff has been on their site even if the quantity is small. The double box end wrenches I got which have been out of stock for over a year being an example. They’re not new production but rather from 2014-2015.

If they start clearing out Sears Parts Direct expect to see some really interesting old stuff hit the market. They have certain parts on hand for 50 year old dehumidifiers and 60 year old lawnmowers still.

Honestly, $4 each isn't the best price. CMan Pros were at the Outlet stores for $2.50 and those were AWESOME screwdrivers.

These Cman screwdrivers get way too much flak. They were perfect in a lot of ways. They were good enough to get the job done, yet cheap enough to use as prybars. I've got like 12 and six are slightly bent. I don't feel bad about that at all. I DON'T use the CMan pros in the same manner.

These are in Canada,
Sears Canada closed in 2018 so it is likely that these at just old stock being cleared out.
I may grab a few more to keep in the cars, kitchen junk drawer etc.

The Craftsman available at Sears Canada by the time it closed down was all Made in China. And even back in the day, Craftsman screwdrivers in Canada were Made in Canada with maybe some USA made ones to fill certain sizes. The Craftsman hard handled screwdrivers were never that great to begin with. If I want something to abuse, I'll stick with my Mastercraft screwdrivers. As for something to strategically place around the house, I'm much better off with a multi bit screwdriver.

I’ve been using them for 40 years and like the smelly handle. Worst screwdrivers I ever had were the snap on screwdrivers I bought in the 80s. You couldn’t get a good grip on them if you had the smallest amount of oil on your hands.

Probably bought out a KMart that was closing. How far Sears has fallen.

Dollarama is Canadian. Its not HF, quite normal to have US made items in discount stores up here. A Victor mouse trap is one example

I think all individual screwdrivers sold up here were made in Canada and at the end just made in China sets

The screwdrivers in Dollarama had to come from some US warehouse or liquidation company

Within the past year I purchased a Craftsman Carpenters Handsaw from a TJ Maxx.
It might have been a discontinued model at that point, but it had the newer Sears Craftsman packaging so it wasn’t that old a model.
I have no clue how it got there.
Ironically, the blade was made in Denmark, with an Italian made wood handle, so I presume it was made by the “Jack” brand from Denmark. The Jack Brand was purchased by Irwin Lenox a while ago, and then Stanley B&D purchased Irwin Lenox, and basically Stanley was making Craftsman branded saws that were being sold thru Sears, in competition with their own Craftsman branded tools being sold thru Lowes.
The saw was nice and cut well, and only cost me $6.
Unfortunately now I can only find the Danish made saws with rubberized handles.

I've finally weeded most of the Craftsman out of my shop tool box and into her house tool box.

I've never liked Craftsman screwdrivers.

At $4 each CAD or $3 USD, they aren't that big of a good deal. Up until a few years ago, you could buy like a 30 piece set of USA CM screwdrivers for like $40 or about $1.30 each. But maybe in Canada, it's still a good deal.

Down here in the states, you can buy Canadian made pry bars at Ollie's Discount Stores for like $2 to $5 each depending on size. Well made.

I have been in a Canadian dollar store and saw a USA made claw hammer for sale. I don't remember what kind of dollar store.

Those screwdrivers have been on the shelf at my local Ace for years at $3.50. Face it, they just aren't that good.

Dollarama had USA made hammer handles as well as a few axe handles recently. They have also been carrying a name brand tool drawer lining in gray or black for a few years.

Your stores still have those Richard pry bars? Down here, they were only around a few months several years ago.
