You're a young guy: who did the other guys get tools from before you started there?[/QUOTE]
few of techs who work in lincoln/ mercury have working there for longest like 20 to 25 years. problems is one tech do simple work like brakes, tires, oil changes, and maintance service like 20,000 miles, 50,000 miles, else. other tech do all check engine light and basic works. they just dont buy special tools. they work for many years and sometime they have to do work where it is not their specialist like engine pull or transmission pulling. i know one tech who worked there 7 years and other techs did asked him to borrow special tools to quick test but he left because he was fired. then new tech got job and he have all vehicles to work on because he have his tools to do the works....
but for my work where one tech have lot of money to owe to snap on guy because he just bought big snap on with credit which higher interests. and other tech work all front end, aligment, and basic services. i have all tools that i can do all works from oil change to rebuild engine or transmission or even differential for both mercury/lincolin and Chrysler/Jeep....
i am watch out which tech did took it without my permission and i have asked them to ask me first. my service manager know that i can do all works but i dont have lot of years in my belt while other techs who working for 15 to 26 years in their belt.
