I wanted to start this thread to keep track of the restoration on my most recent addition, a Craftsman 103.23141 Drill press I picked up. Here are the before pictures, as received.

I will post pics as it progresses. I'd like to find a headband, and the rest of the varislow "contraption" at some point.

I cut a blank headband from a thin piece of aluminum but have not attached it yet as I wanted to give machine turning a try when I get a minute. You got lucky with the extras!! :drool: Can't wait to see what you do with it!

Thanks Nine, hopefully Ill be able to locate one eventually, I'll keep an eye out on ebay for one.
FrankLee, thanks I think it will make a fun fall/winter project. What was the locking collar used for?
