Craftsman Drill Press 103.23141 Restoration Thread

I wanted to start this thread to keep track of the restoration on my most recent addition, a Craftsman 103.23141 Drill press I picked up. Here are the before pictures, as received.

It came with a production table:

Remnants of the vari-slow option: The guy I bought it from told me his dad didn't like that contraption, and threw it away

A slow speed pulley he had laying around, minus the bushing:

I will post pics as it progresses. I'd like to find a headband, and the rest of the varislow "contraption" at some point.

I cut a blank headband from a thin piece of aluminum but have not attached it yet as I wanted to give machine turning a try when I get a minute. You got lucky with the extras!! Can't wait to see what you do with it!

Thanks Nine, hopefully Ill be able to locate one eventually, I'll keep an eye out on ebay for one.
FrankLee, thanks I think it will make a fun fall/winter project. What was the locking collar used for?
