craftsman grinder shredded.. help

this grinder can in a box -- totally shredded at least , I believe , all the party's are hear but the wiring has been messed with and i don't have a clue where to start? Any thoughts ?

By shredded I guess you mean totally torn apart? I'd start with some better pictures so we can see the damage, and post the model number so it's easier to find the info you need.

Yes, better pics, the exact model number would be helpful. How many parts are we talking about? Like did they take the motor / stator apart, bearings out, etc... ? Or just pulled all the wiring apart?

the wiring looks to have been gone threw but it will only humm ....motet will spin freely without power???

On the bottom plate is usually the wiring diagram... I guess it is too damaged or missing?

You might want to try googling that model # and see if you can find an old PDF manual. I found mine and it had the same wiring diagram as the bottom plate in the manual. ;)

Just so you know what you have, that is a 1962 "pre block" grinder. A 1/2 hp with the heavy duty base/quench tray is a nice machine and desirable. The lamp alone is worth $50. If you have the tools rests, even better. Please don't get frustrated and throw it in the trash. At the very least, you have some valuable parts.
