what on God's green earth would be the reason for leaving 2 common sizes like that out? I mean what the ****?

Either they want you to buy them separately or they just threw a remnant set together of the odds and ends (that would be my guess). Honestly I think the 28pc 6pt regular RP set is a better deal anyway. Should still be USA (no guarantees though). Use code SAVE15 and the price is $74.99.

This link begs to differ Sir. The pictures say U.S.A., the Title says "Proffesional Use" however the comments section disputes the picture and the pattern you identify...

And not to mention the price for those big *** wrenches... $40 made in U.S.A.? :lol_hitti "get outa he'a"

Yeah, that's weird. The picture on that one shows it isn't Craftsman Industrial, at least.

Can you find a second instance of "Professional Use" not being CMan Industrial? I searched for some hours and it appears to be a one-time screw-up to me.

As for big-assed wrenches and prices that look wrong, I got a stack of US double box ends over 1 inch for $7 each on the Sears site. :dunno:

Does anybody have black oxide in 11/32", 9/16", 11/16", 7/8", 1 1/16" from the last sell off? I was going to buy the small set and dump the rest......but that only give me 2 that I'm missing

Chrome is expensive. Leaving it off saves a lot of money. They're probably made by Armstrong/Danaher. I recently bought a chrome 1/4" USA Armstrong ratchet on ebay (new) for $10. So the price doesn't seem out of line to me.

Incidentally, I just picked up the very last set of Craftsman USA combination metric combination wrenches, 6 to 14 mm for $9.95 at my local Sears Hardware store. There's a few NOS USA pieces still around.

my only issue is that my OCD will kill me to death because there isn't a 24mm on the black 22piece industrial

Thanks OP for posting this up. Mine arrived today, the industrial stubby set is SOOOOO much nicer than the sets in the store, even when they were USA. They aren't the same as the full polish, they're like a hybrid between the RP and full polish.

Also picked up the ignition sets, they are fine physically but they look... tarnished? Is that anything to worry about? They don't feel any different its maybe just discoloration.

Easily one of the best deals in wrenches. They are one of the only Craftsman tools that isn't rebranded by another manufacturer that I think is top notch.

Can you find a second instance of "Professional Use" not being CMan Industrial? I searched for some hours and it appears to be a one-time screw-up to me.

Below is a link for the Metric version of the same set...

"http://www.searsoutlet.com/Professional-Use-5-pc-Metric-12-pt-Full-Polish-Large-Size-Cross-Force-Combination-Wrench-Set/d/product_details.jsp?pid=28227&mode=seeAll"

*This link is acting funny... In order to actually go to the correct page I had to copy and paste the link into my address bar, otherwise its going to take you to Sears mattresses

Interesting that my previous link is already broken and they don't even sell China Cross Force sets anymore (as of yesterday or the day before) but the Sears Outlet still has their page up from who knows when... Again look at the reviews for the made in China part...

I think that you are probably more correct than I previously assumed because the examples I am giving seem to be exceptions to the rule which you stated so succinctly in your post regard the title and origin of craftsman tools...

This one is kind of weird: Link

Again the picture says U.S.A. the title says Professional use but the review says differently... I have this same socket which I purchased well after the reviewer in the 95 piece impact socket set and mine has U.S.A. laser etched & stamped onto it...

Probably just a goof at the factory this time...

I must give you credit Sir. for your pattern does hold up much better than I originally acknowledged... Thank you for sharing the breakdown :see:

From this thread I looked at the Sears website and ordered the 20 piece professional full polish metric and SAE stubby combination wrench set on sale for $79. They were ordered on Monday morning and they arrived today, three days later. Had an email confirmation within minutes, tracking within the hour and it was an easy transaction. The set is complete and USA made. The open ends are much smaller than the Chinese made lobster claws wrenches and the polished finished is very good, but seems to be a combination of raised panel with chrome finish. I'll take them home, measure and test drive them and report back. But for $4 a wrench, full polish and USA made, jump on this set while you can.
