When you reply to the thread (don't use the "quick reply"), look for the paperclip icon on the menu at the top. When you click it, you can upload up to 7 photos per post.

Just looking for any info anyone might have. Have been search all over only found one other thread on this model. Maybe I'm not looking or searching the right places?
I know it's made by Walker Turner, but can't come up with a consponding model. I know it's made between 1937 and 1941 curious if I could norrow it down a little?
Yes as you noticed it does have a short bed, it's 38 inches. It is a bench top model that weighs about 150 pounds. The stand looks factory but is plywood previous owner made for it.
Not looking for any specific info just hoping for more than I can find and possibly seeing if anyone here might also have one.

Take a look over at OWWM.org , there should be some information posted regarding this jointer.

I somehow missed that you posted photos a few days ago. You have a beautiful jointer. One positive note is that it has been retrofitted with a blade guard/stop - which makes this one safe to use as-is. I agree with CKS1955 - check the woodworker's forum for reviews on this model. I'd love to own one from this era, but I had to settle for one of those "godawful" jointers from the 70s ...

Looks kinda short, but at least it has adjustable infeed AND outfeed tables, unlike those godawful CM jointers from the 50's/60's/70's

I am curious and not offended by this post. I know the CM jointers are not high-end but am completely ignorant as to what makes my early 70s jointer so bad (which has served my needs well). I am just a WW hobbyist and have never put my hands on a high-end jointer to know what I am missing out on ...

Thanks guys looked over there and found some good info not sure why Google wouldn't pull it up. Still curious if any craftsman fanatics here know much about them.

Rileysan - Your jointer is not at all "bad", just not quite as great as some that also outfeed adjust and may have a somewhat longer bed.

Being a woodworker w some jointer experience, you know how important either may be, or not, for YOUR uses.

That said, those are also more $, and yours was and is a great value bang for buck.

Thanks for the help guys I'm finally starting to get somewhere. I know a couple of guys have commented on the outfeed table, it is adjustable. I know the table is a little short but it works for my available space. The price was reasonable to me at $80
I don't know if any of you caught it but it will cut rabbets haven't tried it yet. I haven't been around a lot of jointer but the fence will tilt 45 degrees both directions

ya know "79" You don't see that jointer all that much I don't think.
Looks to be well made though.
As far as set up and operation, they are pretty well standard.
It''s knid-0-like a drill press.

I know it's an old thread, I recently acquired 2 of these, I'm in the midst of building a good one out of the 2.

I did determine that the WT equivalent is the 907 if you haven't determined that.

Looks like a fine little machine. Is yours a 6"

It is, will post some pics when I get home this weekend.

It was really interesting, I am a Walker Turner fan, have a 30's 14" band saw, all cast iron base, quite a machine. So I've been looking to add WT tools to my collection. Saw the Cman jointer on FB Marketplace one morning and bought it. Ckecked again before I went to bed that night and there was another one! So I bought it too. Did some research and discovered they were made by WT.

Neither have a base, the base you could get with the WT is so cool, all cast, unlikely I will ever find one, but I am looking.

Looks like Byrd makes a Shelix head for it too.

Here are some pics of the second Jointer I bought, I actually pick up the first one next week. This one was much closer, the first one is going to get picked up as a side trip on a business trip. I've already pulled this one all apart, the Craftsman badge is in great shape, the tables cleaned up nicely. I'm trying to decide if I should paint it, or leave it, the 80 year old paint has some character to it...

Just for refence, these are the stands I've found for the WT version, the cast stand is so cool. The angled/steel stand matches pics I've found as the factory as well.

Pics of #2, tables look good, interesting to see the machine swirls in the cast iron on them. Badge looks great, and you can see the original color under the indicator. I think I like the aged color better.

#2 didn't have it, doesn't appear that #1 did in the pic, but he is still going through his Dad's stuff, hopefully we can dig around when I pick it up and find it.

The Craftsman model has the holes drilled and tapped for the WT version of the guard as well, might have a better chance finding one of those, they are really large though...

Jointer number 2 came with a Cman motor, cleaned it up and tested it yesterday, runs good. I think it is from the same period as the jointer, the logo is similar.

Interesting developments on my jointers.

The guy I bought the first one from contacted me and said he found the blade guard(pork chop). I picked it up, it's in decent shape with a small crack near the pivot.

I was cruising FB marketplace for anything Walker Turner and I find a complete 907 on the cast stand about 3 hours from me for a great price. Cool story on the history, it was his deceased FIL's, who got it from his Grand Father. He's really happy that someone is getting it that will show it some love.
