I have an older black handle Craftsman Pro screw driver with a rounded tip that I need to exchange . Will they make me a regular hard handle as replacement ?
The older black handle Pro's have been gone from Sears stores for close to a decade. The newer red & black handle versions were discontinued a few years ago and most Sears stores no longer have any in-stock. Chances are that the replacement will be a regular clear handle screwdriver. Sorry.
How much did that set run when it was offered ?Just thought I'd post a couple of photos of "The Way It Used To Be"...
Craftsman, in my humble opinion, shot themselves in the foot, when they discontinued these...
I wanted to buy this set two years ago, but my order was cancelled...bought the Proto Classic Professional set instead...
Periodically, these seem to magically reappear for a short time...I don't know where the stock comes from...

When I tried to buy this set...
The "SALE" price was $ 386.99...
I thought that was high, so I started a thread on it...
If they don't have something comparable that you want they will give u store credit
Sears was once a high end retailer, now just another china importer. I got a bunch of the old craftsman pro(black) ones. Went to snap-on about 15+ years ago or but did use some of the craftsman ones. I put them somewhere since Sears basically is a 'shell' of its former self.
If I could get store credit and get another brand that would be great.
