Found what I think is a good deal on this CPro Impact Wrench in the local ad website at one of my local Sears.

spin_prod_237304601

Regular price = $180
Sale price = $136
Local ad price = $106
Put it in my basket and the price was $90

Thinking about pulling the trigger on it as I've been in the market for a new impact wrench for a while.

I read the reviews but does anybody else know anything about this impact wrench?

I really like my Ingersoll-Rand 2135QTiMAX quiet one. It really is much quieter and lighter, although at a much higher price.

For $90, you can't go wrong, that's a very good price.

I was shopping around for a new 1/2 impact for a couple months, and got down to two finalist. That Craftsman, and this Husky (on sale online from HD for 60% off)

http://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-1-2-in-Air-Impact-Wrench-HSTC4150/100678423#.UbdqHNibVEI

I wound up going with the Husky, basically based on price. Because I was comparing the $56 Husky price to the $136 Craftsman price (at the time I was looking, that was the best sale price to be found).

But if I could have got that Craftsman one for 90 bucks, I probably would have bought that one. The Craftsman is very compact and feels nice in the hand, but not as hard hitting as a full sized 1/2.

I think if you were using it primarily in a tire shop type setting, breaking frozen lug nuts all day long, the Craftsman compact would probably not be a good choice. But if you are a weekend mechanic using it mainly for engine work and front-end work (especially in tight spaces), then the Craftsman is a good choice.

For 90 bucks, you really can't go wrong with that one. It shows as $131 in my cart. How are you getting it in the cart for $90?

I looked at that one and went with the one rated for more tq when I bought a few months ago. That being said, for $90 that is a heck of a deal and if I was in the market for a new one I would definitely consider it.

All Cman Pro's are IR rebrands.

A Fellow GJ member posted this and the 9005 model.
I elected to the 9005 model b/c it has variable torque settings. I couldnt be any happier. Bust lug nuts with ease, lighter then my go to IR and cleans up easy! Yes I am HD Duty Diesel Mechanic and I clean my tools after I use them EVERY TIME!

I don't believe so.

This one I am certain is rebranded Florida Pneumatic

Here it is in the Florida Pneumatic catalog, and at the bottom of the page you see this model that I am certain is the OEM for at least that one particular Craftsman Professional. The only difference is the sticker on the side.

And as a matter of fact, the model at the top of the page in the Florida Pneumatic catalog looks strikingly similar to the Craftsman Professional Compact the OP is interested in buying. I can't confirm that particular one for sure, but I have a hunch that might be Florida Pneumatic as well.

This is a pretty powerful little impact. Its not as good as the Earthquake or 2135 but for the size it can't be. Lightweight, nice controls. Made in Taiwan

I just got a Klutch compact 1/2" from Northern its on sale now for $75. It was $90 when I made my order, I put a pair of Channelocks in so I could use a $20 off $100 promo code then It went on sale the next day, so a quick call to Northern got me $15 more off so was around $60 I guess. It is smaller than my Florida Pneumatic 3/8" compact, and hits surprisingly very hard. It looks a lot like the King Tony M7. I was fooling around with it on the lowest setting with a 3/8 nylock put on backwards, and it just squished the guts out of it and flattened it with no hesitation, on low. Its only been a couple of days, I am loving it so far. $50 off $250 - 162534
$20 off $100 - 162535
$5 off $15 - 162536

Expiration -6/29/13
