FYI

I ordered the craftsman professional SAE and Metric as individuals from sears online and they all came in made in USA. Make sure you use coupon code save 15 for each set to save the most

$124 for SAE set 12 wrenches up to 1in

I could have got bigger sizes as well, but this was all I needed right now
The above wrenches were all marked professional
Offsets
Sae for 5pc $65
Metric for 7pc around $95

Also Craftsman stubby 20pc wrench set is all made in USA as well and it is on sale 84.99 use coupon code save15 to get more off

Why must you tempt me so? Ok, so I only need the 21mm CM Pro wrench because I have all the rest, but the offsets.........oh my........I've been wanting those for a while.

Yep, for the most part the singles are still USA made in stores too. Well, unless you go to the stores I shop.

For me, I bought the full polished sets (China) on Black Friday for $19.99 each and then picked up the big USA completer set on sale for $84.99. I swapped out all the China wrenches for the USA singles (same part numbers) and got the entire Craftsman Professional USA set for about $125.

I'm surprised the stubbers are still US... I bought mine a couple years ago and they were China.

I bough 14 metric "Craftsman Industrial" full polish wrenches up to 22mm from Zoro last year for under $100 (with coupon). I'd check to see if they still have them in stock and at a good price.

The only crummy part is the lack of the 20mm full polish. Good wrenches other than that!

But they make it in CM Industrial which are carbon copies of the Pro's. I just don't get that. Oh and I'm looking for a 20mm CM Industrial.

I will say this. QC on the BIG CM Pro wrenches is lacking. My biggest ones aren't the nicest. One's got a funky curve to the entire wrench, the open end on my 1 1/2" wrench had like 1/2 the tip of the jaw not get forged, etc.

Did your store get pissed that you were exchanging wrenches that were perfectly good (in their eyes)?

I thought about it during the black friday stuff on the China reversibles, but passed just based on the hassle of switching out the USA singles.

I did this recently and they gave me a hard time... took 25 minutes... had them ask WHERE I bought them... WHEN I bought them. manager was called... He tried to find the purchase attached to my SYW accound. He then went to the back for at least 10-15 minutes... FINALLY he agreed to do it with much hesitation.

This was with a set of RP and my stated reason for exchange was the lobster claw design. I did not use COO as a reason because I assumed they would shoot me down. I told them they must be defective because who could use an open wrench with a head that big? Oddly, I really believe he had no idea the design has changed... when showing him the difference between the (usa) single wrenches I was exchanging he said it could be an improper forging issue, lol

This was a while back and thankfully I have not had to darken the door of a sears store since ;p

The reviews are good on those stubbies. I'm on the fence about them too. I really just want the metrics and wish they had those separate in the polished finish for around $30, but it's the same as with the discount for these. I wish there was an 11mm included too.

I wish the long pattern full polish came with 6 point box ends. Then I could justify (in my mind) having a second set !

They make a stubby double box in SAE (3/8x7/16 and 1/2x9/16) but not metric. Those are damn handy.

Thanks OP, just ordered the stubbies.

$99.99 - $15 online discount - $15 Save15 code = $69.99.

Plus, coupon code for $10 extra points on $50 spent, plus $1.40 on the base price. For a total of $11.40 in points for a future purchase.

Subtracting the $11.40 in points, effectively brings the price to $58.59.

So for less than 60 bucks, a professional full polish Made in the USA stubby set. I figured a couple years from now it will be impossible to get a USA deal like this on stubbies.

Right now, the only real USA options are the New Old Stock Williams stubbies for $50 plus shipping on HE. Or about $110 for SK's. But both those are only half the amount. Only the Metric half of the set, those sets doesn't include the inch half, that would be extra and double the price. And the Williams aren't full polish, they are just standard raised panels.

Get 'em while they got 'em. Hard to get high quality USA stubbies at this price anymore.

I already have the 1" stubby open stock Craftsman Industrial full polish when they were on closeout for about $2.50. Then I can get the 9mm and 22mm open stock when they go on sale with the points I have to round off the set.

Thank you for posting! Decided to pick up the stubby wrenches. I'm hoping that I'll be surprised when they arrive and they'll still be Made in the USA. If not, I'll have to return them.

A little off topic, but as far as the missing 11mm stubby is concerned, I went with a K-D to fill out my set. It's not a perfect match, but it's full polish, cheap & US made. I got mine from Cripe Distributing:

Craftsman also had a 21mm stubby (44124) which I have yet to find.

I haven't looked at the stubbys, but has anyone noticed how boxy the handles are on the Professional USA wrenches? I bought the large set with 19-24mm and 13/16-1 1/16. All the handles on these were nice, thin, and no pronounced edges. I started ordering singles to get a full set of USA wrenches and they are all very thick and square. I went into the store and looked at the singles, and noticed that most of them had box shaped handles as well. I compared 4-5 of the same size, and none of them seemed consistent in thickness. My 7mm was as thick as my 11mm. Anyone else seeing this as well?

Good to know. I just ordered the stubby set for $65 after some free points I got. When comparing other brands, USA and Taiwan, these can't be beat for the price and number of wrenches.

I wish I had seen this yesterday... Just returned a couple sets of Full Polish Long Lobster Claws I got for xmass. Spent 20 minutes wandering the isles for something USA made to spend the $125 on. Finally ended up buying every Pro screwdriver they had left.

Nice! As another metric option, Grainger has a 7-piece metric full polish Craftsman stubby set on closeout for $21 here, and you can pick up Armstrong and KD 11mm, 16mm, and 19mm stubbies from Cripe for about twenty bucks. Dunno where to find dirt cheap US-made SAE stubbies, though.

Received my stubby set today. All USA made.

I paid about 52.**.

$99.99 - $15 online discount - $15 Save15 code = $69.99

$69.99 - $17 points bonus ($10 craftsman club for Feb, $5 suprise, $2 for ad click) = $52.99

$52.99 + tax - $3.50 sears card discount = $52.**

I also had a coupon to get 10 more dollars in points when I spend $50.

Great deal. Thanks OP.

Enter SAVE15 in the coupon code, and you get an additional $15 off. So $15 + $15 off.

Mine were USA made too. Paid $67 and then got $10 in points (which I used to buy some Knipex diagonal cutters). Very happy with quality and they upgraded my shipping to two days.

9mm really WTF do you need that for tightening unicorn testicles?

Add to cart. Should show $84.99. Then enter SAVE15 in "Apply coupon code" box, press "Go". Should then drop it down to $69.99.

Then, make sure you are a Shop your way rewards member (free signup), if you aren't already. Then add the coupon code for $10 if free points for $50 purchased. I got my points immediately after purchase, plus the base points of another $1.40. So you can immediately buy something else worth about 11 bucks.
