Finally got the stubbies in and man they're nice and shiny. I did find one issue on one of my metrics. Quality control must have been on break, but this is big in my book. There's a ridge going all the way around the inside of the open end and it seems one side of the claw got pressed before plating. I just hope I can find a replacement for this. In store selection is becoming slim.

You would be hard pressed to find these sets in USA. I bought the 9pc sets and then bought all the individuals from the store (individuals are USA). Then returned the Chinese individuals with my "individuals" receipt. Same item number stamped on the wrench. If they sell them for the same price and attempt to tell me they are the same, then I see no problem returning them as the same item. Or you can just buy each of them individually and not deal with the exchanging. 10mm-18mm is about $85 (with $15 off) and 1/4"-3/4" is $60 (with $15 off). I paid $75 total for both 9pc sets on ebay.

All the new sets for the last couple years are China.

The only way to get USA is new old stock, individual open stock pieces, or Craftsman Industrial.

That's why the USA Stubbies deal in the original link was a killer deal.

I definitely should not have hesitated on buying the stubby set. I questioned, "when am I ever going to use those?".... Now I wish I would have bought them for the heck of it.... eventually I will find a use :)

Thanks. I ordered the 22mm stubby to fill out my 20 piece set. I also ordered the open stock 1 inch Industrial for $2.97 when it was on sale last year. That also helps fill out the set. Keep an eye out for the 1 inch, it goes on sale a couple times a year for $2.97.

Strange, they seem to be back in stock. BUT we will see. I happened to check if they would load into cart and allow checkout on a different computer. It didn't say OOS. So I went down to other computer where my cart was populated, and I got the OOS message again. I cleared the cart out, signed back in and viola.....it allowed me to place the purchase.

So maybe try that for a few of you trying to get these and it showing out of stock.

That's weird... because it won't even allow me to use one of the $10 points for $50 purchase for some reason. I have $75 worth of sockets and wrenches in my cart and the only thing I can use is Save15:dunno:

It was showing OOS for me. SO i logged out and searched for the part number and it came up as in stock.

I also got the $20 of points as well. I had to go into my sywr account and load the coupon then apply it. Thanks for posting it cause I would not have gotten it without your tip!

I ended up getting it for $99 - $15 - $15 coupon - $10 in points from previous deal
= $59 + $20 in sywr points! = $39

There's stipulations on what you can use some coupons on. Like no hot buys, clearance, etc.

Heads up, Sears has some deals online today for single's Craftsman wrenches. I picked up a couple stubby's I was missing, an offset, and a couple combo wrenches I was missing.

Thanks for the heads up on the open stock pieces!

I bought the 10x11 and 21x23 Craftsman Industrial Full Polish Deep Offsets for about $9 for both a few weeks ago when the Industrials first went live.

I liked them so much, I've been looking at the Made in the USA open stock pieces at the local store, but didn't want to spend the money on the full retail store prices, and didn't want China sets.

Just ordered the 12x14, 13x15, 16x18, 17x19, and 20x22 Craftsman Professional Full Polish open stock pieces to complete the set with the two 10x11 and 21x23 Industrials.

Had to throw in a 39 cent Carpenters Pencil to bring the order up over 50 bucks.

$50.12 total. Used a $5 off $50 coupon code. Had $10 surprise points off $50. $2 points from clicking Sears/Kmart ad. Another $1.25 leftover points.

Brought it down to about $36 out the door. Plus, another coupon code for $11 points for future purchase. Effectively bringing it to about 25 bucks!

25 bucks for the Professionals, plus 9 bucks for the Industrials, gives me sizes:

10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 mm.

So, effectively about $36 for a Full Polish Made in the USA Metric Deep Offset Wrench Set!

I'm almost certain these will be Made in the USA singles. If not, no worries, I take them back to Sears and return them.

I went on sears site tonight and looks like most are no longer available unless I'm looking in the wrong spot. I need larger combo metric's 19mm+

In SYWR, I had two additional coupons. One for $10 in instant points for $50 spent (that I used right away on this purchase). A second for $10 bonus points on a future purchase (that's already in my account).

The good thing about these open stock pieces is they are a great discount, plus they aren't branded as a "Hot Buy". Once Sears brands them as a Hot Buy, then most coupons are blocked. These pieces allow for all kinds of coupon stacking opportunities. Just need to be creative and see what coupons are available, and try different stacking combinations.

Also, the 39 cent Craftsman Carpenter Pencil is a great filler item if you need a few cents to get the cart up to the next threshold for coupons, shipping, etc. If it is out of stock online, then just do store pickup on the single pencil, and ship the rest of the order. Then either pick up the pencil, or just call later and cancel the pencil. Also, everyone needs pencils, so it is a filler most people will actual be able to use.

My Craftsman Professional Deep Offset Box End wrenches came in.

All the single open stock pieces where - Made in the USA!

The two pieces on the ends with the tags are Craftsman Industrials they had a few weeks ago on the website. The five pieces in the middle are Craftsman Professionals. Everything is Made in the USA. If you buy the sets, they are made in China. But the open stock pieces are still USA.

I've got about $36 bucks into this. Not bad for a full seven piece Made in the USA full polished set. 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23mm.

OK, you talked me into it, I have been wanting these for awhile, this finally pushed me over the edge.... for some reason I still want the SAE but I think i should be smart like you and pass
