They showed up in Hot Deals under this price several times. Maybe search for bolt-out. General concensus is that they're good. I like mine, but you gotta realize they won't work every time.

Ihave both sets that you hold in the one case.

I only use them once or twice a year, but for the $20 for both sets total on sale, they are well woth the money to me.

None of them worked well when the bolt / nuts are actually stuck / rounded. Had that $70 set and that $9.99 set never worked when I needed it to.

Funny this subject came up now. I just crawled out from under my 88 Chevy plow truck after using the Craftsman extractors to remove the corroded differential cover bolts.

The heads on a couple of the bolts were almost gone, but the tool worked fine.

It's been in the box for a couple of years, but I think this is the first time I used it.

I have an Irwin branded set just like this...they have saved me a couple of times including a bunch of rusted out fasteners on a ford 5.4.

You might want to heat up those stubborn bolts befoer using a regular socket on them much less the bolt/screw removers.

Corrosion or dissimilar metals is often the problem, and heat or penetrant helps a lot prior to using any type of easy-out.

I use mapp, propane or the torch if not around a gas/fuel or explost=ive goodies.

Heat indutor if fussy .

Attack the corrosive issue first and the tool will work like buttah.

Ignored the sales for this kit for years and then last year had to get out a rounded caliper 14mm bolt. Bought the small kit for the regular price of $20. The remover worked for me. Got the larger set when on sale for $10.
