Craftsman Tool Chest Date - Vintage

I found this Craftsman tool chest at a garage sale today for $30

Anybody know what vintage it is?

She needs a little cleaning up, has some light rust and was spray painted silver. I have been looking for one of these for a while, and am too cheap to pay the $300 cost of a new one. I plan on repainting it with some hammerite or similar texture spray paint along with adding some felt or rubber matting inside the drawers.

This one has a plywood base that the casters are mounted to.

I also picked up a old 1950's vintage Kennedy 520 machinist's tool box for $30.

I have one just like that I picked up a couple months ago. It's around 1949-51, IIRC. Look at the catalogs here from that era:

Funny thing I paid $5 less than it sold for in 1949, very cool!
