This question has probably been asked before, but my quick search did not find a definitive answer so I'll ask ....

I'm looking to restore/repaint an older (about mid-80's) Craftsman tool chest with the red cabinet/black (or maybe dark charcoal gray) drawers. Does anyone have a recommendation for rattle-can spray paints that are close matches to the original Craftsman colors?

Rick was a big help to me when I restored my tool box
I asked pretty much the same question. I was tight on money, so I only put 3 coats of paint on there.

Here is the link.......

and I copied his reply below.
GOOD LUCK, and show pics!
Here is what he told me to use/do, and it turned out GREAT!

The most reoccurring colors that I have found are Rustoleum's Apple Red, IH (International Harvester) Red.
It's also my understanding that Waterloo built all or most of the Craftsmen cabinets- maybe they have a resource or answer(?)
