Craftsman Vise (need help)

Need help, I have looked through dozens of post to try to identify this vise and keep coming up empty. It appears to be a model 5204 not sure though. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looks similar to Columbian vises. Craftsman went to red finish a long time ago, like at least 50 years ago. I would guess that vise is at least that old.

Yep, Rock Island. Columbians used a "T" shaped jaw, Rock Island used the "U" shape. Probably not the correct terms.. Screw it all the way shut and look for a date on the top of the slide.

By the way, it looks like they do not have a picture reference on the vise spread sheet for the 5204, so you might want to post it on the Vise info thread and let them know so they can link it to the sheet.
